G IS FOR...

G is for GOOMBAH...

(US, slang, pejorative) A person of Italian descent.

Sometimes used to describe a companion or associate, especially an older friend who acts as a patron, protector, or adviser.

Goombah, to use its usual spelling, is an English rendering of a dialectal Italian pronunciation of compare, which can mean 'godfather', 'friend', or 'accomplice; crony'.

G is for GODPARENTS

My Godparents are Steve & Stella Cuzzacrea. This is a picture of their fruit stand they use to own in Lockport, New York back in the 40's. My Uncle Steve ALWAYS use to say that a tomato is an HERB... not a fruit or a vegetable!

How I remember them. Thanksgiving just isn't the same since they past. I really wish they could have met Mark. I think Aunt Stella really would have gotten a kick out of him. And Uncle Steve would have probably made African jokes every hour on the hour.

This was at Denise & Dan's Wedding.

G is for GODFATHER

I can still smell that pipe!

G is for GUITAR HERO

I became obsessed with this video game when my old roommates bought it. I them discovered that my next door neighbor owned it... so I played it quite often. I was given Play Station 2 from the prop department at work... so I then went and bought my own guitar hero 2 and wireless guitar! Mark recently bought me Guitar Hero 3 to further feed my addiction!

I've become quite good :-)

G is for GARMIN

Mark got me a Garmin for my birthday. It's a GPS navigation system. I LOVE IT!!! Not only do I NEVER get lost... I ALWAYS know what time I'm going to arrive at my destination. It was the BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!!

What a great post.....it's amazing the different things that we remember about them. They both would have loved Mark and would be so happy for you. The smell of the pipe is never forgotten. Its funny how my grandparents are your godparents and your grandparents are mine....Talk to you soon. Love, Missy
